Individual Counseling
Dealing with work, relationships, and the world at large is enough - adding depression, anxiety, and trauma on top of life can make everything feel overwhelming. Eventually, we might even get to the point where we don’t know what we are waking up for in the morning. Life can feel pointless, impossible, or downright depressing. While challenges are an inherent part of life, getting stuck in feelings of being lost, purposeless, and overwhelmed don’t have to be.
I offer individual therapy from an Emotionally-Focused, existential, and anti-oppressive lens. This means that when you come to see me for counseling, you are coming to see a therapist who believes that you deserve to feel safe and connected, that you are doing the best you can with what you have, that oppressive systems are real and impactful (not always proportionally), and that you are worthy of living an examined life.
You deserve to feel empowered to navigate life, and I want to help you get there. First, we use a lens of curiosity and compassion to unpack what your specific pattern of stuckness looks like. Next, we get to the root of the existential and attachment needs that drive your stuck pattern. Finally, we take time to consolidate the changes that you have made and find resolution to the problems that once plagued your life.
